Computer Education Program

Building Foundational Digital Skills

Access to computers and structured digital learning is critical for today’s learners. For many children in government schools, this exposure is limited. Pragati’s Computer Education Program equips students with foundational digital literacy through hands-on classroom sessions, preparing them for academic learning and future education pathways.

Program Design & Delivery

The curriculum is developed by Computer Shiksha, while Pragati implements the program in classrooms, ensuring consistent delivery and student engagement. This partnership combines quality digital content with strong on-ground execution.

Learning Environment

• Dedicated Computer Lab with a large display screen

• One laptop per student during sessions to enable hands-on learning

• Safe, structured, and child-friendly digital classroom setup

Students learn by doing - building confidence and independence in using technology.

Assessment & Certification

At the end of the academic year:
• Students complete a structured assessment

• Successful participants receive a Computer Education Completion Certificate

This early certification builds motivation and introduces students to formal skill recognition.

Outcomes

Students demonstrate:

• Confidence in using computers independently Improved digital readiness for secondary education

• Ability to use basic tools that support learning across subjects

For many first-generation learners, this is their first meaningful exposure to technology.
